About the role
As a Senior React Native Developer, you will make an impact by designing, building, and optimizing high-quality cross-platform mobile applications that deliver exceptional user experiences across iOS and Android platforms. You will be a valued member of the engineering team and work collaboratively with UI/UX designers, backend developers, product owners, and cross-functional stakeholders to deliver scalable mobile solutions.

In this role, you will:
  • Design, develop, and maintain cross-platform mobile applications using React Native and modern frontend technologies.
  • Collaborate with UI/UX designers to transform wireframes and visual designs into responsive, user-friendly mobile experiences.
  • Integrate RESTful APIs, third-party SDKs, and external services to support business functionality and seamless user interactions.
  • Ensure code quality through adherence to development best practices, code reviews, testing, and technical documentation.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve application performance issues, crashes, and device compatibility challenges while supporting Agile development practices.

What you need to have to be considered
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience developing mobile applications using React Native.
  • Strong proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript.
  • Experience with state management frameworks such as Redux or Context API.
  • Solid understanding of REST API integration and third-party SDK implementation.
  • Experience working with native modules and React Native bridging concepts.
  • Knowledge of mobile application architecture, debugging, optimization, and performance tuning.
  • Experience working in Agile development environments and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

  • Experience publishing and maintaining applications in the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
  • Familiarity with testing frameworks such as Jest, React Native Testing Library, or Detox.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines for mobile application delivery.

  • Exposure to cloud platforms and modern backend integration patterns.

Salary and Other Compensation:
The annual salary for this position is between $68,000 - $135,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
