Wells Fargo's Wealth & Investment Management (WIM) is making a significant multi-year investment in its e-Brokerage platform to provide an even more compelling and competitive offering to customers. This investment will add important new capabilities and features both for self-directed and automated investing and provide new fully native mobile experiences. To support these customer-centric enhancements and to ensure the platform scales for future success, we are embarking on a technology modernization effort to improve time to market and allow us to take full advantage of all the public cloud capabilities. The key to our success will be hiring best-in-class technology professionals into a number of newly created roles, to supplement our existing team with targeted top talent to drive our transformation. We are looking for people with experience modernizing complex, mission critical applications at scale, while the platform continues to support ongoing business growth.

About our team:

The WIMT Digital team manages, develops, and supports customer facing brokerage systems. It has approximately 170 engineers globally between the US and India. Our main development centers in the US are in New York, Charlotte (NC) and St. Louis (MO). You should expect to spend time in the office on a flexible schedule collaborating with your team. Our engineers are a mixture of full stack, front end and back-end service experts, who take advantage of the firm's commitment to ongoing professional development through a wide range of resources. We have a separate first line support team that allows engineers to focus on their objectives. Our partnership with our business and co-ownership of work through the Agile product operating model means that there is plenty of opportunities for you to work directly with our business partners and further your understanding of the business.

About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior .NET Full Stack Software Engineer within the Wealth and Investment Management Technology (WIMT) team for the Digital and Advice and Planning Team. This team focuses on providing functionality to our Digital and Advice Planning Product owners by building out highly scalable enterprise products. The selected candidate will be experienced in application development and maintenance. Candidate will strive to provide creative or innovative, yet practical solutions to the organization.


In this role, you will:

  • Lead moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within technical domain environments

  • Contribute to large scale planning of strategies

  • Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs associated with technology domain, including upgrades and deployments

  • Review moderately complex technical challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of technologies and procedures

  • Resolve moderately complex issues and lead a team to meet existing client needs or potential new clients needs while leveraging solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, or compliance requirements

  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid-level managers to resolve technical challenges and achieve goals

  • Lead projects and act as an escalation point, provide guidance and direction to less experienced staff

Required Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

  • 4+ years of hands-on .NET development with an emphasis on backend development

  • 3+ years of experience with cloud technologies including AWS


Desired Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of front-end web development such as Angular or React

  • 2+ years of Financial Services industry experience

  • 5+ years of experience managing stakeholders up to senior level executives

  • Experience implementing AI tools into daily workflows

  • Experience supporting vendor products and out of the box enhancements


Job Expectations:

  • Ability to work onsite at one of the posted locations
