Overview

CoStar Group (NASDAQ: CSGP) is a leading global provider of commercial and residential real‑estate information, analytics, and online marketplaces. As a Software Engineer on the Data Automation team, you will play a key role in expanding the data platform that supports CoStar’s largest brands, including CoStar Suite, LoopNet, and Homes.com.

Responsibilities
  • Build large, distributed, API‑driven systems used by tens of thousands of users.
  • Produce robust, efficient, and maintainable code with React JS, C#, .NET Framework, AWS (DynamoDB, S3, Lambda), and SQL Server.
  • Lead software design, development standards, and code reviews.
  • Continuously evaluate emerging technologies to strengthen CoStar’s platform and develop best practices.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university or college.
  • 4+ years of experience with React JS and JavaScript.
  • 4+ years of experience with C# and .NET Framework & Web API 2.0 development.
  • 3+ years of experience with MS SQL Server or database design in T‑SQL or PostgreSQL (programming/performance tuning).
  • Experience architecting, designing, and building large‑scale, distributed, services‑oriented systems in an agile environment.
  • Understanding of AI technologies and hands‑on experience with AI tooling such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Gemini, or Grok.
  • Data modeling experience.
  • Commitment to prior employers.

  • Strong communication skills with both business and technical partners.
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure or AWS).
