This internship helps build hands-on skills, improves problem-solving abilities, and prepares candidates for full-time React.js roles in the future.

What are the typical responsibilities of a React JS intern during their internship?

As a React Js Intern, you will typically assist in developing, testing, and debugging web applications using React.js under the guidance of senior developers. Your daily tasks may include collaborating with teammates on agile project sprints, attending team meetings, writing and maintaining code, and helping integrate APIs or third-party services. You may also work on optimization and troubleshooting assignments or participate in code reviews to improve your technical skills. This hands-on exposure is designed to help you learn industry best practices, strengthen your development skills, and prepare you for future roles in front-end or full-stack development.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive in the React JS internship position, and why are they important?

To thrive as a React Js Intern, you need a solid understanding of JavaScript, React.js fundamentals, HTML, and CSS, typically supported by coursework or personal projects. Familiarity with code versioning tools like Git, basic knowledge of RESTful APIs, and experience using development environments (such as VS Code) are common technical requirements. Strong problem-solving abilities, eagerness to learn, teamwork, and clear communication skills are vital soft skills for this position. These skills and qualities help interns quickly contribute to real-world projects, collaborate effectively with teams, and successfully develop user-friendly web applications.

Job description

Associate Product Manager, Rapid Prototyping

Origin AI, an ADT Company

Location: Remote; Boulder/ Denver, CO

About Us:

Origin is the pioneer of AI Sensing℠, a sensing technology that detects human activity in indoor environments by analyzing WiFi signals. Our software runs on existing WiFi routers and IoT devices to detect motion, presence, activity patterns, and critical events, all privately without cameras or wearables. Origin’s technology serves home security providers, broadband providers, smart home tech, and healthcare and aging-in-place solutions. From home security, to family awareness, to healthy aging, to home automation, Origin helps people experience safer and smarter homes.

Now acquired by ADT, Origin strengthens ADT's promise of trusted protection by bringing real-time awareness and context inside the home, because when every second counts, knowing what is actually happening changes everything.

About the Job:

The possibilities for AI Sensing are almost endless. We have no shortage of ideas. The hard part is cutting through the noise to find the ideas that actually solve people's problems and make their lives safer, easier, and more convenient.
That is your job. As an Associate Product Manager at Origin, you will be our in-house rapid experimenter for AI Sensing. You will turn early product ideas into working prototypes, put them in front of real users, and bring back clear evidence on what to prioritize. You will build lightweight mobile and web features, run the user testing that pressure-tests them, and live with the technology in your own home to see how it performs in the real world. Working closely with product and marketing, your work will guide how we expedite use cases for commercialization. This is a hands-on, high-ownership role for someone who would rather build and test an idea this week than debate it for a month.

What You'll Do:
  • Prototype to pressure-test ideas. Start with quick clickable mockups in Claude Design to validate a concept before investing in code.

  • Build the real thing. Go beyond mockups to build functional iterations of our mobile and web apps, writing and shipping code with AI-assisted coding tools.

  • Run the feedback loop. Recruit testers, conduct interviews, and host focus groups to get honest reactions to each working prototype.

  • Live with it. Deploy sensing hardware in your own home and test houses, putting yourself in users’ shoes to digest how AI sensing fits into everyday life.

  • Synthesize and share. Turn transcripts, survey results, video clips, and feedback into decision-ready reports and recommendations.

About You:
  • Technical foundation. You have recently completed a Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science or a closely related technical field.

  • A builder. You can use AI-assisted coding tools like Claude Code to stand up a working prototype or lightweight web app end to end.

  • Curious about people. You enjoy talking to users, running interviews, and pulling signal out of unstructured qualitative feedback.

  • Hands-on with hardware. You are willing to host test hardware in your home, including cameras, home security devices, routers, and our AI Sensing hardware.

  • A clear communicator. You can turn a pile of notes and data into a clean, one-page recommendation.

  • Fast and self-directed. You are comfortable with ambiguity, evolving priorities, and a hypothesis-driven way of working.

Preferred
  • Internship or project experience in product prototyping and user research.

  • Interest in IoT, smart home, health tech, and RF / wireless sensing

  • A knack for clean design that lets you make a prototype feel real enough to test honestly.

  • Familiarity with our stack: React / Next.js for web; Claude Code and Claude Design for rapid prototyping.

What We Can Offer You
  • Full healthcare package including medical, dental, and vision insurance, short-term and long-term disability insurance, life, and AD&D insurance

  • 401(k) + 5% company match

  • Flexible paid time off policy

  • Tuition reimbursement program & Continued Learning Program
