Description

Hi there, we’re Article. Since 2013, we have been redefining the furniture industry one sofa at a time, it’s not easy — it requires solving challenging, meaningful problems. This is where you come in. As a Senior Software Engineer, Full Stack, you'll design, build, deploy, and operate software solutions across our entire technology stack to help power our digital and physical customer experiences.

Why We Need You: In Software Engineering, we need experienced full-stack talent who can own solutions end-to-end rather than specializing in a single layer. This fits into our larger need to translate complex business problems into simple, reliable, and scalable software that drives our growing omni-channel retail operations.

Why Article? As a Particle (people of Article), you will have a high level of autonomy to solve challenging, meaningful problems the best way you can. That means you’re trusted to explore solutions you believe will work best (you’re the expert, after all). You’ll do all this while growing your skills within a company that is redefining the furniture industry.

About the Software Engineering team: You'll join a highly competent engineering team of 8 software engineers as part of a broader department of roughly 30 tech professionals, reporting to the Sr. Manager of Software Engineering. We work across frontend applications, backend services, databases, data pipelines, and cloud infrastructure.

We are a modern, adaptable engineering organization built around micro-sized squads (typically 1–2 engineers) with full-stack ownership. We use Claude AI to understand complex codebases fast and skip dense documentation.

We are a hybrid team - you'll be in the office 3 days per week.

What You’ll Do

  • Build automated tests and CI/CD pipelines while monitoring, troubleshooting, and improving production systems.
  • Partner with Product Managers, Designers, and business stakeholders to translate needs into incremental releases.
  • Contribute to technical design, code reviews, engineering standards, and address technical debt to protect system health.
