Job Summary and QualificationsThe Cardiovascular Sonographer is a highly skilled individual qualified by academic and clinical experience to produce and evaluate ultrasound images.

What qualifications you will need:

  • High School Graduate / GED
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support, or BCLS Instructor must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
  • (RDMS) Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, or (RDCS-AE) RDCS Adult Echocardiography, or (RDCS) Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer, or (RCS) Registered Cardiac Sonographer, or (RVT) Registered Vascular Technician, or (RVS) Registered Vascular Specialist 
  • Associate degree or Bachelor degree from an accredited school fo Sonography
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience performing routine echocardiology exams (e.g., 2-D, M-Mode, Color Flow, Spectral Doppler). Transesophageal echo(TEE). 5 years of more experience preferred.

HCA Florida Poinciana Hospital is a purpose-guided healthcare provider. We are a four-story, 150,000-square-foot hospital. We have 70 private beds and a six-bed private ICU. We provide a full range of acute care services including emergency services, inpatient and outpatient diagnostic imaging, and inpatient and outpatient surgery. Other services include cardiac catheterization, laboratory, pharmacy, and a full range of support services. Our Emergency Department (ED) is approximately 14,500 square feet. Our ED consists of 22 private treatment rooms, an EMS entrance, and a helicopter pad.
