Job description

What you’ll do: Work as part of a collaborative and high-performing team delivering technical solutions within the highest levels of the federal government
Perform daily operations & maintenance (O&M) and provisioning for mission-critical telecommunications environments
Analyze IT architecture to support long-range planning and modernization efforts
Create engineering roadmaps, technical designs, configurations, rack elevations, and bills of materials (BOMs)
Ensure solutions comply with DoD standards and commercial best practices
Participate in Agile planning, execution, and continuous improvement activities
Support mission-critical telecommunications infrastructure with a focus on reliability and performance
Communicate technical decisions and designs clearly to stakeholders and customers
Establish and maintain a high level of customer trust and confidence through technical expertise and delivery excellence
Apply creativity and engineering judgment to design innovative solutions that meet mission and customer needs
What you’ll need to succeed: Active Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility required.
Required technical certifications include BICSI RCDD.
Possess DoD 8140 certification aligned to the 441 Network Operations Specialist work role, such as Network+, Security+, Cloud+, SSCP, CASP+, CISSP, or CCNP Security.
12+ years of experience analyzing, designing, and supporting IT and telecommunications infrastructure solutions using DoD and commercial standards.
Demonstrated experience supporting daily operations and maintenance, including direct-touch maintenance and provisioning of telecommunications and IT infrastructure.
Proven ability to analyze existing IT architectures and develop long-range strategic plans, including modernization and sustainment roadmaps.
Hands-on experience creating and maintaining engineering work products, including rack elevations, data center configuration diagrams, IT roadmaps, engineering configurations, and bills of materials.
Operational experience ensuring data center and telecommunications system designs adhere to DoD requirements and commercial best practices.
Demonstrated experience designing, integrating, and supporting Voice over IP and unified communications infrastructure, including call control, voice gateways, Quality of Service, and voice services integration within enterprise and data center environments.
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field is required. Relevant experience may substitute where appropriate.
Ability to contribute immediately with minimal ramp-up in a mission-critical operational environment.
