RAYUS Radiology is looking for a Radiologist Scheduler to join our team. We are challenging the status quo by shining light on radiology and making it a critical first step in diagnosis and proper treatment. Come join us and shine brighter together! As a Radiologist Scheduler, you will be responsible for proactively planning and maintaining appropriate radiology provider staffing levels to meet client and physician expectations while adhering to budget guidelines. This role serves as the primary liaison between clinical operations, client hospitals, locum agencies, and providers. The Radiologist Scheduler manages all provider schedule adjustments, including those related to provider onboarding or departures, new business acquisitions, vacancies due to illness or leave, and changes driven by updated demand forecasts. This is a 100% remote full-time position working 8 AM - 4:30 PM Monday - Friday.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
(70%) Provider Scheduling & Coverage Management
  1. Proactively create and maintain provider schedules to meet client-required on-site staffing levels with appropriate skill sets (MQSA, IR, General Radiology, etc.).
  2. Ensure all required remote reading capacity is scheduled and that all parties including self-scheduled providers or groups, are informed and accountable for their assigned shifts.
  3. Manage provider vacation schedules in alignment with clinical operations guidelines.
  4. Identify on-call shift needs and build corresponding schedules, prioritizing employed providers within contractual rules, then filling remaining gaps with volunteers, independent contractors, or locums while staying within budget.
  5. Account for provider meetings, administrative time, and required client system training sessions on the electronic schedule.
  6. Participate in after-hours/weekend on-call rotation to facilitate and communicate urgent schedule changes.
  7. Serve as the primary point of contact for providers, clients, and clinical operations regarding all scheduling matters.

(15%) Operational Support & Capacity Planning
  1. Act as the main liaison with locum agencies to secure appropriately licensed, credentialed, and skilled providers for planned or urgent vacancies.
  2. Collaborate with the credentialing team to ensure scheduled providers progress appropriately through hospital credentialing processes.
  3. Participate in routine capacity evaluations and implement schedule adjustments to meet demand while adhering to budget constraints.
  4. Provide insight into new client staffing models, requirements, and scheduling structures.
  5. Assist in generating documentation to support forecasting and supplemental pay calculations, including independent contractor invoices and locum tenens expenses.
  6. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives related to scheduling processes, application effectiveness, and capacity planning.

(10%) Administrative Duties
  1. Maintain the provider scheduling application, including entering providers into templates, adding new providers and tasks, and performing data entry to support scheduling rules and automation.
  2. Serve as the primary contact with the scheduling application vendor for system updates, configuration changes, and special requests.
  3. Generate routine and ad-hoc provider schedule reports as needed.

(5%) Other Duties as Assigned
Required:
  1. High School Diploma, or equivalent
  2. One (1) year experience in a healthcare setting, preferably as a health care scheduler

Preferred:
  1. Associate degree in business or healthcare administration
  2. Two (2) years' experience in a healthcare setting, preferably as a health care scheduler
