Job description

Description
The Senior MBSE Engineer applies Model-Based Systems Engineering methodologies to complex DoD platforms and hardware-centric mission systems composed of sensors, payloads, communications, processing, and supporting software elements. This role supports platform architecture development, system engineering technical reviews (SETR), and digital thread traceability from mission needs through system verification and validation, with emphasis on enabling and assessing end-to-end kill-chain performance, including EMSO-relevant capabilities.
  • Developing and maintaining MBSE products supporting DoD platform architecture definition, mission engineering, and kill-chain analysis in support of SETR activities
  • Creating and managing SysML/UML models capturing system requirements, functional behavior, physical architectures, hardware interfaces, and kill-chain functional threads
  • Generating SETR artifacts including platform architecture views, functional threads, interface definitions, kill-chain mappings, and verification mappings
  • Developing and managing MBSE meta-chain reporting templates supporting platform-level digital thread traceability, including kill-chain dependencies and performance drivers
  • Performing data management (DM) and configuration management (CM) of MBSE artifacts across model repositories
  • Integrating MBSE products with hardware-centric modeling, simulation, and analysis environments, supporting kill-chain assessment
  • Supporting platform and mission assessments within Live, Virtual, and Constructive (LVC) and operational test environments
  • Collaborating with hardware, software, integration, and test teams to ensure model fidelity, platform integration readiness, interoperability, and kill-chain coherence
