About The Position
As a Lifecycle Leader for the RAS Portfolio you will lead the asset(s) strategy and portfolio from research through to the patient. You will play a critical role in leading the Life Cycle Team (LCT) and acting as accountable to the Late Stage Portfolio Committee (LSPC), maximizing the value of a product for patients, society, and the company by leading an integrated, global and cross-functional strategy and team.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategy & Vision (Shaping the Long-Term Path)
  • Shaping the long-term vision and strategy for the RAS Portfolio in partnership with early development, Pharma Development, Global Pharma Strategy, Pharma Development Medical Affairs leads, and respective external partners.
  • Unlock value earlier: Being involved earlier in the lifecycle to create a seamless transition from early to late stage (e.g., providing relevant input into the one asset team at critical time points such as a pivotal enabling Clinical Development Plan (CDP)).
  • Supporting relevant early development asset teams, licensing, and other business development activities.

2. Integrated Leadership & Decision making (Driving Cross-Functional Success)
  • Driving alignment and integrated decision-making with the Global Development Team, Global Technical Team and Commercial Leadership Team to realize the potential of the asset(s), within the context of the asset, disease area and therapeutic area strategies.
  • Accountability to drive asset/disease area & enterprise mindset and team capability development (in line with OnePharmaStrategy).
  • Serving as an inspiring leader, aligning people towards a vision while building a culture of accountability, collaboration, inclusion, and trust.
  • Serving as a thought partner and sounding board for the GPS and cross organisation teams and relevant internal and external stakeholders, ensuring that franchise and enterprise goals are met.

3. Lifecycle Value & Execution (Maximizing Value and Delivery)
  • Accountable for the resource ask, appropriate utilization, and the delivery of the aNPV (Adjusted Net Present Value) to the Late Stage Portfolio Committee (LSPC).
  • Lifecycle excellence: Continually assess and evolve the asset strategy, in the context of external dynamics, new opportunities and DA strategy, by evaluating and triggering different value levers to maximise the asset's potential.
  • This includes the integrated leadership to propose and deliver indications, formulations, devices, diagnostics and digital tools, along with the evidence generation strategy, to address the appropriate treatable population in collaboration with the Commercial Leadership Team (CLT), Global Development Team (GDT), Global Technical Team (TDT) and others.

Who You Are
  • Educational Background: A Bachelor's Degree is required, preferably in a marketing, business management, or life sciences discipline. MD, PhD, or other relevant Graduate, Postgraduate Degree or MBA (depending on the Lifecycle of the product) is an additional plus.
  • Substantial Pharma experience: 12 or more years' multidisciplinary experience in the pharmaceutical/biotechnology industry. Demonstrable previous accomplishments should include developing and overseeing the execution of breakthrough development and/or commercial strategies that led to considerable financial results. Equally important are product management and launch experience. An ability to quickly come up to speed and navigate technical, supply, development and regulatory challenges utilising a deep understanding of global health systems, access and reimbursement challenges. Therapeutic Area (oncology) and solid tumor knowledge and experience is mandatory. Experience in RAS desired.
  • Strategic & Global Leadership: 5 years of strategic and global leadership experience. The role requires outstanding leadership skills with a proven track record in building teams and the ability to influence in a cross-functional environment. You should have exceptional strategic orientation and agility, with an outstanding ability to develop a long-term vision and a deep understanding of the global pharmaceutical/biotechnology industry to create robust and innovative business strategies.

  • Maximizing Value: Success is achieved by maximizing the product's lifecycle value to patients, society, and the company.
  • Execution and Financial Targets: Ensuring the timely, on-target, and within-budget delivery of the product strategy, including meeting key milestones and financial targets for the product.
  • Leadership and Accountability: A key measure of success is the ability to effectively develop and lead a high performing team to create and deliver the asset strategy within a dynamic internal and external context.

Relocation assistance is available for this position.
The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of South San Francisco, CA is $304,960 to $400,260. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and other job-related factors permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance. This position also qualifies for the benefits detailed at the link provided below.
