Role Description The Locksmith role is a full-time road technician position based near Lake Geneva, WI. Day-to-day responsibilities include responding to service calls, diagnosing lock and security issues, performing lock installation, rekeying, repair, and maintenance on residential, commercial, and automotive systems. The role also involves handling safe and access control systems, cutting and programming keys and key fobs, and ensuring all work meets safety and quality standards. The Locksmith will interact directly with customers, provide clear explanations of services, maintain accurate records of work performed, and coordinate with the team to prioritize urgent requests. Occasional after-hours or weekend work may be required to support emergency services.

Qualifications

  • Strong locksmithing skills, including lock installation, rekeying, key cutting, safe work, and access control systems.
  • Maintenance and repair abilities for doors, hardware, and related security components, with general maintenance experience.
  • Basic welding skills for security hardware, doors, and frames, as needed for lock and access control installations.
  • Millwork experience for fitting and adjusting doors, frames, and cabinetry related to lock and safe installations.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record for travel to customer sites in the service area.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work safely with tools and equipment.
  • Effective communication and customer service skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Prior professional locksmith experience or formal training/certification in locksmithing or related trades is preferred.
