Job Description:

MARS Solutions Group is looking for an experienced Operations Specialist located in Chicago, IL. Our client is an electricity and natural gas industry Leader looking for high-quality talent to make a difference. They are known to respect a traditional work week and often extend contracts for added job security and stability

 

Overview

The Operations Specialist supports field operations through a variety of administrative and coordination tasks within an office environment. This role involves monitoring workloads, analyzing data, creating work orders, and serving as a key point of contact for both field employees and customers.

This is an entry-level friendly opportunity with no dispatch experience required.

Key Responsibilities

Support daily field operations by coordinating internal and external requests

Monitor workloads to meet customer service and compliance requirements

Analyze data and assist with forecasting and reporting

Create and assign work orders to field personnel

Maintain and update internal systems and records

Provide direct support to field employees and respond to inquiries

Coordinate with shop management and cross-functional teams

Navigate multiple systems to input, update, and manage operational data

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required

5+ years of experience using standard computer applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

5+ years of experience identifying and resolving problems

Strong communication and organizational skills

Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment

No dispatch experience required

Entry-level candidates with strong administrative or operational skills are encouraged to apply

Additional Information:

Duration: 12 Months with possibility of extension

Location: Chicago, IL 60632

Shift hours: Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (flexibility available)
