Job description

SUMMARY OF JOB DUTIES:
Candidate must evaluate the abilities of our bus operators to operate a bus in a safe and professional manner and monitor the compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations while safely operating a fixed route transit vehicle.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Paul Revere Transportation seeks candidates with excellent customer service skills, the ability to exercise sound judgments, the ability to work in a time structured environment, the ability to be punctual and to have good attendance.
Safety Statement
This position is subject to the rules and regulations of the Drug and Alcohol Policy and required testing policy per F.T.A. and F.M.C.S.A. The incumbent is subject to pre-employment Drug and Alcohol Testing, Random Testing, and Reasonable Suspicion Testing. The incumbent is required to fully evaluate our bus operators as they comply with operational safety rules and regulations established by the D.O.T. and Paul Revere Transportation. To professionally represent Paul Revere Transportation while providing timely reports to the operations managers.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
Work involves evaluating bus operators in a transit bus, on a prescribed route, in a safe and courteous manner.
Mystery Riders are responsible for evaluating the safe operation of our state of the art equipment, compliance of all traffic regulations and Paul Revere policies and procedures.
Employees are expected to maintain a professional image, emphasizing positive customer relations.
Must have the ability to sit for extended periods of time and remain discreet and anonymous from our bus operators.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE:
Previous driving experience as a transit bus operator is preferred.
Knowledge of procedures for safe operation of buses.
Knowledge of scheduled routes.
Follow oral and written instructions in English.
Work nights, week-ends, holidays, and varied schedules
Maintain a positive work environment
Prepare and maintain records and reports
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with supervisors.
Use prudent judgment and problem solving skills to make reasonable and appropriate decisions and recommendations.
Maintain good attendance
Requirement:
Upon a conditional offer of employment, you are required to must pass a D.O.T. physical and drug/alcohol screen. The ability to pass a criminal offender record information (C.O.R.I.) check.
Education Requirements:
A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Any combination of education, experience, and training that provides the required knowledge, abilities, and skill to perform the duties of the position may be substituted.
SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION:
This position works onboard a moving vehicle and will require sitting for an extended length of time, with constant arm, hand and foot movement.
NOTE: This position and all Paul Revere Transportation employees are subject to periodic random drug and alcohol testing.
