Job description

Drug-Free Workplace| DOT-Compliant| Pre-Employment and Random Testing Required

The Account Manager will primarily be responsible for obtaining sales, service, and reporting for their Customers within a defined geographical area. In addition to the current Customer base, the Account Manager is also responsible for developing a sales pipeline with a focus on closing new business in their assigned area.  The Account Manager is assigned a Company vehicle and must have a clean driving record.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Performing field analysis of samples within parameters set forth by Aegis’ Operations team.
  • Providing chemical and mechanical solutions to the Customer, while assisting them in lowering their lifting cost;
  • Coordinates with Technical Services on difficult chemical-related problems;
  • Creates monthly reports capturing cost, lab analysis, failures, etc.
  • Prepares and leads Customer meetings, to exchange technical information and report financial performance.
  • Maintains continuous injection rates at optimum levels;
  • Provides written recommendations to improve operations for the Customer;
  • Troubleshoots production chemical-related problems should they be encountered on the Customer’s site;
  • Ensures Customer KPIs (key performance indicators) are met
  • Conducts and reports a Total System Analysis (chemical survey) on existing or potential Customers
  • Manages Customer chemical inventory in coordination with regional Aegis Operations team;
  • May supervise a team of one or more Account Representatives;
  • Focuses on accomplishing goals in a team environment with an emphasis on safety and cooperative communication across all other functional departments.

SKILL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to work under pressure and to maintain efficiency and composure
  • Commitment to participatory management and a strong service orientation
  • Ability to build strong relationships with both current and potential customers
  • Ability to travel out to and navigate job sites for extended hours as business dictates with the ability to travel by means designated by Company (Air, Auto, Train, Boat, etc.) 
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
  • Ability to sell and provide solutions for customers and potential customers
  • Demonstrated understanding of sales process and ability to close business
  • Good knowledge of commercial and contract language
  • Experience with MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, Power BI, and Outlook) and PC Skills
  • Must be a self-starter
  • Needs little direction to complete tasks; can dictate degree of direction needed to complete tasks

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

  • 5 years minimum experience as an Account Manager in the production chemical industry and;
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred, but we will accept work experience in lieu of.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. at any given time.
  • Daily physical demands of the position include, but are not limited to: sitting, standing, climbing, agility, reaching, trunk movements, lifting, carrying, pushing/pulling, low level work, dexterity of hands and fingers, seeing, hearing and talking.
  • Ability to work in inclimate weather
