Position Summary

The Assistant General Manager (AGM) partners with the General Manager to oversee daily restaurant operations, lead team members, and ensure every guest receives the legendary Pizza Ranch experience at our Clinton, IA restaurant.

This leadership role is responsible for supporting operational excellence, developing employees, driving financial performance, and maintaining the high standards that define the Pizza Ranch brand.

Schedule: Full-time; evenings, weekends, and holidays as business needs require.

Essential Responsibilities

Leadership & Team Development

  • Assist with recruiting, hiring, onboarding, and training new team members.
  • Coach and develop employees through regular feedback and performance management.
  • Foster a positive, team-oriented work environment built on accountability and respect.
  • Lead by example and uphold Pizza Ranch's culture and values.

Guest Experience

  • Deliver exceptional hospitality and ensure every guest has a legendary dining experience.
  • Respond to guest concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Utilize guest feedback and Qualtrics reporting to improve service and overall satisfaction.
  • Maintain high standards of food quality, cleanliness, and service.

Restaurant Operations

  • Support all daily restaurant operations to ensure efficiency and consistency.
  • Maintain compliance with all health, food safety, sanitation, and brand standards.
  • Assist with inventory management, ordering, and product quality.
  • Ensure the restaurant is clean, organized, and operating at brand standards.

Financial Performance

  • Support sales growth initiatives and restaurant profitability.
  • Help manage food, labor, and controllable operating costs.
  • Assist in monitoring key performance metrics and implementing operational improvements.

Community Engagement

  • Represent Pizza Ranch within the local community.
  • Support community events and initiatives that strengthen local relationships.
  • Promote Pizza Ranch as a trusted community partner.

Qualifications

Required

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
