Since 2004, Barricades and Signs has experienced steady growth and can support small scale projects to large scale infrastructure needs. We offer a full range of roadside safety products and onsite traffic services to our customers. POSITION OVERVIEW

As a vital member of our operations team, we are looking to add a General Labourer to aid in the installation of guard rail, cable barrier, and other safety systems. Working closely with the Site Superintendents and Foreman, the General Labourer will play a vital role in supporting project completion.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

· Complete pre and post trip inspections on vehicles and trailers

· Secure cargo and heavy equipment to flat deck and double drop deck trucks

· Safely drive and operate vehicles out to infrastructure job sites throughout the city

· Operate various hand and power tools; including drills, skid steers, etc.

· Assist operators in loading and unloading construction materials from trucks both manually and utilizing the use of equipment

· Execute daily work under the direction of the site superintendent

· Participate in daily safety meetings and fill out hazard assessments

· Maintain a clean work site by handling materials and storing them properly

· Report incidents immediately to health and safety or site supervisor

QUALIFICATIONS

· Previous labour experience in a construction environment

· Valid drivers license and clean drivers abstract

· Ability to work evening and weekends when required

· Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
