What You'll Do
As an Assistant Division Manager, you'll work directly with Division leadership while learning every aspect of field operations and crew management.
Responsibilities include:
  • Assist in supervising field crews during railroad, industrial, and emergency response operations.
  • Lead crews safely at job sites and within the division facility.
  • Promote and enforce company safety policies and operational procedures.
  • Assign daily work activities and monitor crew productivity.
  • Coach, mentor, and develop employees through hands-on leadership.
  • Assist with hiring, onboarding, training, and performance management.
  • Coordinate equipment maintenance, repairs, and inspections.
  • Help ensure equipment and facilities remain operational and ready for deployment.
  • Partner with Division leadership to meet customer schedules and operational objectives.
  • Inspect completed work to ensure quality and compliance with company standards.
  • Learn budgeting, planning, scheduling, and overall division management responsibilities.

Requirements

Required Qualifications
  • Valid Class A CDL with no restrictions
  • Valid driver's license
  • Minimum one year of heavy equipment operating experience preferred
  • Previous leadership, crew lead, military, or supervisory experience is a plus
  • Ability to travel up to 75%
  • Willingness to work in a 24/7 emergency response environment
  • Ability to work extended hours, nights, weekends, and holidays when responding to emergency operations
  • Strong communication, leadership, and decision-making skills
