Railcar Operator Jobs (NOW HIRING)

Job Title: Shipping & Receiving Railcar - PSR

Reports To: Department Supervisor

FLSA Status: Hourly Non-Exempt

1st Shift

Hours: Monday-Friday 5:00AM to 1:30PM

Overtime is required based on production needs. 

Pay: $17.50/Hour 

Summary Tends pump that pumps incoming ingredients from tankers and/or railcars to storage tank and cleans and sanitizes tankers and/or railcars by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

•Dips and pours sample of ingredient from vent hole of tanker/railcar into bottle for laboratory analysis.

•Connects hose between sanitary valves of tanker/railcar and storage tank, starts pump, and turns valves to transfer ingredient to tank.

•Stops pump when transfer is completed.

•Disconnects hose from tanker/railcar and connects nozzle of tank cleaning system to tanker/railcar.

•Starts equipment that automatically rinses, washes, and sanitizes interior of tanker/railcar.

•Removes nozzle and seals vent hole.

•Washes exterior of tanker/railcar and pumping equipment.

•Fills totes with raw goods.

Language Skills 

Must be able to speak, read and write in English. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions and procedure manuals.

Reasoning Ability 

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form.
