Key Job Elements
• Works with new and used railroad bearings;
• Duties encompass inspecting parts and assembly line type duties to recondition freight car bearings;
• Operate overhead cranes and forklifts;
• Ability to work 1st shift (Mon - Fri 5:00 AM - 1:30 PM) or 2nd shift (Mon - Thurs 4:00 PM - 2:30 AM) with overtime and weekends required.
Qualifications and Experience
• Prefer 6 months experience as machine operator, will consider equivalent school/training;
• Must be able to perform quality inspections;
• Read precision instruments and gauges;
• Capable use of hand tools;
• Work around overhead cranes and mobile equipment;
• Work as an effective team member;
• Working safely is a condition of employment.
