About the Opportunity

A global provider of digital research and decision-support products is adding a Machine Learning Engineer to its Worcester, Massachusetts team. This hybrid position will focus on converting emerging AI capabilities into secure, scalable features used within complex professional software platforms.

The engineer will work across the applied AI stack, from model experimentation and retrieval design through production integration. Key areas include generative AI, large language model applications, intelligent search, and agent-based systems that help users navigate and interpret high-value information.

Core Requirements

Proven success delivering machine learning or artificial intelligence systems in production environments

Practical experience designing applications that use LLMs, AI agents, and tool-driven workflows

Knowledge of RAG patterns, embedding models, vector stores, and relevance-focused retrieval techniques

Familiarity with operational ML practices such as testing, deployment automation, observability, and model governance

Strong Python development skills and sound software engineering fundamentals

Experience building cloud-native solutions with AWS and container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes

Preferred Background

Exposure to legal technology, enterprise search, publishing, compliance, or another information-dense product domain

At least 12 years of software development experience, or 8+ years of development experience together with a PhD

Bachelor’s degree or higher in computer science, machine learning, engineering, or a closely related field
