Job description

Radiologic Technologist - Computed Tomography (CT)
Location: Novi, MI 48374
Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: 5x8-Hour Nights
  • Sunday-Thursday: 10:30 PM - 6:30 AM
  • Friday & Saturday: 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM
  • Every other weekend rotation
  • Hours per Week: 40 Hours
Job Summary:
Under general supervision, performs computerized tomography (CT) procedures on patients and may also perform general diagnostic radiology examinations. Performs related duties as required.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Explain procedures and prepare patients for CT examinations.
  • Review clinical data and obtain relevant patient medical history.
  • Set up equipment and perform CT scans using appropriate techniques.
  • Administer IV contrast, including use of power injectors, and monitor patients for reactions.
  • Assist Radiologist with complex sterile diagnostic procedures (e.g., biopsies).
  • Follow radiation safety guidelines, including ALARA principles.
  • Ensure accurate documentation in PACS and RIS systems.
  • Maintain procedure rooms and adequate supplies.
  • Complete all required clinical and billing documentation.
Unit Details:
  • ER, Inpatient, and Outpatient
  • Level 2 Trauma Center
Requirements:
  • Minimum 2 years of CT experience required.
  • Experience with Client and Philips equipment required.
  • Hospital experience required.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Must maintain continuing education requirements.
Certifications Required:
  • BLS
  • Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
  • Advanced registry in Computed Tomography (ARRT-CT) or registry-eligible
Work Environment:
  • Hospital setting (fixed or mobile unit).
  • Possible exposure to radiation, high-voltage equipment, and contagious patients.
  • Occasional lifting of equipment or patients over 10 lbs.
