Location: Round Rock, Texas Facility: Baylor Scott & White Health – Round Rock Medical Center Position: Radiologic Technologist (X-Ray) Schedule: Full-Time Mon-Fri 12:30p-9:00p

What You'll Do
  • Perform high-quality diagnostic radiology (X-ray) procedures following physician orders and imaging protocols.
  • Maintain imaging productivity while ensuring excellent image quality and patient safety.
  • Monitor and manage radiation dose reference levels and take appropriate action when thresholds are exceeded.
  • Utilize AIDET communication practices to ensure positive patient experiences.
  • Prepare and position patients using proper immobilization devices and exposure techniques.
  • Follow strict radiation safety, infection control, and sterile technique standards.
  • Maintain imaging equipment and exam rooms to meet quality and safety standards.
  • Collaborate with engineers and physicists to ensure optimal equipment performance.
  • Verify patient orders, history, pregnancy screening, and consent documentation.
  • Maintain accurate records in PACS and EMR systems.
  • Assist with inventory management and department workflow improvements.

  • Ability to perform radiologic procedures independently and efficiently
  • Strong knowledge of radiographic positioning, anatomy, and radiation safety
  • Excellent patient communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to remain calm and effective in high-volume hospital environments
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to diagnostic accuracy
  • Willingness to work various shifts during the training period
  • Ability to precept and mentor new technologists

Qualifications

Education Graduate of an Accredited Radiologic Technology Program Experience Less than one year of experience required Hospital or acute-care experience preferred Certifications & Licensure ARRT (R) – Radiography required Texas Medical Board (MRT) License required Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire
