Land Mobile Radio Specialist
The Opportunity:
As a land mobile radio (LMR) specialist, you are well versed in the many facets used in modern public safety communication systems. In this role, you will use your expertise to provide technical and implementation support to the enterprise LMR program, perform over the air programing and rekeying of radio systems, review interoperability agreements, and conduct radio inventory and battery management activities. You will also leverage industry best practices to assist with developing policies, procedures, training, briefings, and other communication material to enhance the LMR program.
You will leverage your expertise to collaborate with LMR stakeholders across the enterprise and engage with state, local, and federal partners, as well as equipment vendors, to maintain and enhance the operational status of LMR systems. As part of the emergency management team, you will be pivotal in ensuring that the enterprise has communication equipment and procedures to operate.

You Have:
  • 4+ years of experience with emergency or public safety communication systems
  • 2+ years of experience with Project 25 (P25) compliant LMR systems and devices
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment, while performing functional duties independently
  • Ability to develop clear and effective written and verbal communication products for senior leaders using Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time in support of mission assurance activities
  • Active TS/SCI clearance; willingness to take a polygraph exam
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Ability to obtain Federal Emergency Management Agency IS100, IS120, IS 200, IS 230, IS235, and IS242 Certifications within 6 months of start date

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $69,400.00 to $158,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
