About the Role
As an RF Test/ Automation Engineer, you will join Airspan's dynamic and highly experienced team, working to develop and expand our RF test & automation capabilities for radio base stations that support multiple radio access technologies, including 5G, 4G/LTE.
Airspan's hardware portfolio is built for scalability and reliability, with over 50,000 5G radios and 700,000 4G radios deployed in live networks worldwide. Our solutions meet the demands of public and private networks with unmatched efficiency and performance, spanning dense urban deployments and expansive industrial applications. With proven success in Open RAN interoperability and conformance testing, Airspan continues to innovate and deliver cutting-edge wireless solutions.
This is an onsite contract position in Plano TX.
Key Responsibilities
  • Support RF verification & testing of O-RAN radio products (outdoor/indoor)
  • Design, implement, and maintain automated test frameworks in Python for validating radio products.
  • Provide support for unit level radio performance integration and verification
  • Provide support for overseas manufacturing test
  • Provide support for new product integration test
  • Perform troubleshooting to determine root cause of performance issues and test failures
  • Drive continuous improvements of test processes
  • Provide regular status updates to internal stakeholders

Key Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree (minimum) in Electrical Engineering or a related field from an accredited institution and 2+ years' relevant experience.
  • Ability to work with and modify automated test framework in Python
  • Hands-on expertise with RF lab equipment such as network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, and high-speed oscilloscopes
  • Understanding of applicable wireless technologies (e.g., LTE, 5G-NR) and industry standards (e.g., 3GPP, FCC)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a meticulous attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary engineering team.
  • Experience with database design & tools for data parsing and reporting is a plus
