Job description
Delivering. Different. At ISG, our philosophy is simple, we bring together exceptional people and let them go to work solving the nation's toughest challenges. We are guided by the fundamental belief that Better is Always Possible. To achieve this vision, we seek out top talent relentlessly driven to deliver mission value and solve our customers' hardest problems. At ISG, the best idea always wins, failure is a stepping stone to innovation, and everyone has the opportunity to discover their full potential.
ISG is seeking Radar/RF Systems Engineers to support mission-critical GEOINT systems and space-based collection capabilities. This role is ideal for engineers with operational and technical experience supporting RADAR, Radio Frequency, airborne, or satellite systems, with a strong preference for satellite mission experience.
The successful candidate will support requirements development, architecture analysis, systems integration, mission processing, and technical planning across space and ground environments. This position supports national security missions by advancing Radar/RF collection, mission processing, architecture integration, resiliency, and end-to-end mission performance.
Key Responsibilities
Lead complex systems engineering efforts for Radar/RF systems across space, ground, and mission operations environments.
Provide senior technical direction on Radar/RF phenomenology, collection methodology, mission processing, and operational performance.
Perform enterprise-level requirements development, definition, decomposition, traceability, validation, and technical closure activities.
Evaluate Radar/RF system capabilities across tasking, command and control, collection, mission processing, and dissemination.
Conduct architecture analysis, trade studies, and solution alternative assessments for GEOINT, space, and ground systems.
Analyze mission processing approaches designed to mitigate radio frequency interference and improve radar processing outcomes.
Perform RF engineering assessments related to system resiliency, jamming resistance, operational effectiveness, and mission assurance.
Support user needs analysis, capability gap assessments, and solution alternative evaluations to inform Government investment and technical decisions.
Coordinate systems integration strategy, readiness planning, and end-to-end mission and services closure across complex mission systems.
Identify and resolve technical risks, opportunities, dependencies, and enterprise-level impacts across programs and stakeholders.
Advise senior Government, SETA, FFRDC, IC, DoD, and industry stakeholders on technical strategy, mission impacts, and engineering priorities.
Mentor multidisciplinary engineering teams and ensure the quality, consistency, and technical credibility of engineering products.
Required:
Active TS/SCI clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a Polygraph.
BS/BA in a technical or STEM field such as engineering, physics, or a related discipline.
MS/MA may be counted as 3 years of experience; PhD may be counted as 5 years of experience.
0+ years of relevant systems engineering, Radar/RF, GEOINT, space, ground, or mission operations experience. Candidates will be considered for the Junior (0-6 years), Mid-Level (7-11 years), Senior (12-17 years), or Expert (18+ years) level based on experience and qualifications.
Background supporting Radar/RF systems, preferably in satellite mission environments; airborne experience is also relevant.
Knowledge of Radar/RF phenomenology specific to collection and processing methodologies.
RF engineering experience, including familiarity with system design approaches for resistance to jamming.
Understanding of Radar/RF systems across tasking, command and control, collection, mission processing, and dissemination.
Familiarity with mission processing techniques to address or mitigate the effects of radio frequency interference in radar processing.
Experience with systems engineering core processes, including requirements, architecture, risk and opportunity management, systems integration, and end-to-end mission and services closure.
GEOINT domain knowledge, including space and ground architecture.
Experience with IC, DoD, and/or commercial space architectures, systems, operations, ground software, space development programs, or mission operations programs.
Background supporting user needs analysis, capability gap assessments, and solution alternative analyses.
Understanding of SETA, FFRDC, and Government lines of authority.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Desired:
Experience with MBSE tools, modeling methodologies, and UML and SysML modeling languages.
Experience using Confluence, Jira, and Agile/SAFe system development methods.
OCSMP Level 1, 2, or 3 certification.
