The salary range for this job opening at PeaceHealth is 55.98 - 83.96. The hiring rate is dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to education, training, work experience, terms of any applicable collective bargaining agreement, seniority, etc.

Job Summary

Responsible for monitoring the overall services, developing quality and performance indicators, gathering data for analysis as well as ensuring continuous improvement to optimize services and stewardship of resources. Staffing and scheduling. Supervising the performance of a wide variety of technical therapeutic procedures, including external beam treatment, brachytherapy, CT/MR simulator and simulations. Under general direction of the department leadership, coordinates and implements clinical services for assigned areas. Provides professional radiation therapy care to patients as needed, in the clinic, in compliance with professional practice standards. Promotes a collaborative, interdisciplinary approach towards patients, families and all members of the care delivery team. Assists with ensuring that departmental goals are achieved, timelines are met and service excellence is provided in all aspects of work.

Details of the position:

• Links mission into day-to-day work, focuses on meeting organization/departmental targets, monitors budget variances and recommends or develops plans for improvement, assures regulatory compliance

• Provides clinical radiation therapy oversight to assigned areas. Serves as a resource in the overall delivery of patient care assessing clinic practices, identifying needs and recommending solutions.

• Supervises assigned caregivers with full personnel action authority. Provides technical assistance. Monitors and evaluates performance and accountability of staff. Evaluates competence and initiates performance improvement plans to develop staff, provides meaningful and constructive feedback. Responsible for training, coaching, mentoring and development of caregivers. Ensures the completion of mandatory training and in-services. Responsible for scheduling and time off management of direct reports.

• Works with leadership to assist in the development of policies, procedures, and enhancements to the delivery of services, and operations of the department.

• Delegates work and projects within team; adjusts workflow to provide efficient and effective operations. Maintains alignment with the patient experience and medical group strategic initiatives. Manages equipment downtime in collaboration with the physicist and manager.

• Oversees scheduling of patient treatments, including concomitant scheduling with medical oncology and coordination with physics.

• Provides operational support with clinical processes, policies, procedures and budget management. Assists with compliance to policies and procedures. Ensures compliance with all local, state and federal regulations and laws.

• Responsible for the development and maintenance of effective relationships within the department and working collaboratively with internal PeaceHealth customers as well as external customers, i.e. patients, families, visitors, etc.

• Provides first line problem solving for caregivers and patients for complaints, incident reporting and in the moment follow-up for issues or concerns.

• When needed, provides professional radiation therapy care to patients in compliance with professional practice standards.

• Performs other duties as assigned.

What you bring:

• Bachelor's Degree Preferred: and

• Accredited Program Required: Radiologic Technology approved by ARRT program (AAS)

• Minimum of 3 years Required: Experience as a radiation therapist and

• Preferred: Previous leadership experience and

• Required: Experience with Varian Aria Oncology Information System and Epic EHR

• Required: ARRT - Radiation Therapy and

• Required: Upon Hire Basic Life Support and

• Required: Radiology Technologist - Washington

Working Conditions

Lifting

• Consistently operates computer and other office equipment.

• Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.

• Predominantly operates in an office environment.

• Some time spent on site in medical/hospital setting.

Mental/Visual

• Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information.

• The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading.
