Job description

Just 4 Kids Urgent Care is currently seeking a part-time Radiologic Technologist. Rad Techs that join the J4K team will be responsible for performing various clinical duties including radiologic examinations of pediatric patients while creating a superior patient experience.
Just 4 Kids Urgent Care is open from 10:00 a.m. - 10:00 p.m. seven days per week. Part-time staff work two 12-hour shifts each week.
The primary duties and responsibilities of the Rad Tech are listed as follows:
  • Ensures superior patient experience by embracing the J4K mission and values, while treating all with compassion and respect.
  • Prepares patients for radiologic procedure and takes X-Rays while following established protocol and procedures for patient care and safety.
  • Ensures all radiographs are interpreted by clarifying discrepancies.
  • Uses necessary radiation protection and shielding materials.
  • Logs all radiologic procedures and processes related paperwork using computer equipment as directed.
  • Maintains examination rooms. Stocks necessary medical and radiologic supplies.
  • Performs basic medical assistant duties, which include but are not limited to: rooming patients, taking vitals and patient histories, obtaining chief complaint, completing approved point of care lab testing, and discharging patients.
  • Ensures sterile technique with patient procedures, instrument cleaning and sterilization.
  • Assists providers and RNs with various medical procedures.
  • Maintains confidentiality with all patient information (HIPAA).

The preferred Radiologic Technologist will have the following qualifications:
  • Must be 18 years of age or older to apply.
  • High school diploma/GED required.
  • Radiologic Technologist Certification and registry maintenance through ARRT.
  • Current BLS Certificate.
  • Proficient in the English language
