What is a rack?

Rack jobs refer to positions that involve stocking, organizing, and maintaining merchandise on racks or shelves within retail stores. People in this role are often employed by third-party vendors rather than the store itself and are responsible for ensuring that products are properly displayed, priced, and replenished. Rack jobbers may handle a specific category of products, such as magazines, snacks, or greeting cards, and often travel between multiple retail locations. This job requires attention to detail, good organizational skills, and the ability to work independently.
