Job description

Job Title: Data Center Technician L2
Location: Santa Clara – CA, South San Jose, CA, Sparks, NV (Onsite)
Rate: $35 w2
Experience: 4+ Years

Top 3 Required Skills

  1. Hands-on Data Center experience – Rack & Stack, cabling, hardware installation/replacement
  2. Server Hardware Administration – iLO, iDRAC, RAM/CPU replacement, firmware upgrades
  3. Basic Windows/Linux Administration

Key Responsibilities

  • Rack, stack, cable, and configure servers and network devices.
  • Perform server and switch cabling based on approved wiring diagrams.
  • Configure iLO/iDRAC, server IP addresses, and default access credentials.
  • Replace hardware components including RAM, CPU, optics, and cables.
  • Troubleshoot server issues and identify root causes with remote network/system administrators.
  • Perform server firmware upgrades.
  • Support network administrators with ad hoc server and switch requests.
  • Coordinate replacement hardware procurement and return defective components to vendors.
  • Validate connectivity and operational readiness after installation.
  • Conduct physical inspections and inventory audits of servers, components, and consumables.
  • Collaborate with network and systems administrators to resolve infrastructure issues.
