M&J is seeking Office Engineers to maintain project documentation including RFIs, shop drawings, change submittals, meeting minutes, correspondence, and contract records.
Responsibilities
โ€ข Maintain project documentation including RFIs, shop drawings, change submittals, meeting minutes, correspondence, and contract records.
โ€ข Track contractor submittals and shop drawings and coordinate review with project staff and TxDOT personnel.
โ€ข Maintain quantity tracking logs and documentation for progress payment estimates in TxDOT SiteManager.
โ€ข Preparation and documentation of change orders and force account work.
โ€ข Maintain document control systems and electronic project files in accordance with TxDOT documentation requirements.
โ€ข Prepare meeting minutes for progress meetings, coordination meetings, and partnering meetings.
โ€ข Preparation of monthly progress reports and project status reports required by TxDOT.
โ€ข Support project staff with contract administration documentation, records management, and contractor correspondence.
โ€ข Coordinate, prepare and maintain documentation and activities related to materials testing.
โ€ข Assist with preparation of contractor performance evaluations and project closeout documentation.
Qualifications
Required
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred.
    โ€ข Minimum 5-10 years of experience in construction documentation or project administration.

Preferred
  • Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification.
    โ€ข NICET Level II or III certification.
    โ€ข OSHA 10-Hour Construction Safety Training.
    โ€ข Experience with TxDOT SiteManager or similar DOT documentation systems.
