Job description

Radiologist (Breast Imaging/Mammography)

Radiology Associates of Albuquerque (RAA) is physician owned private practice group with 29 radiologists. RAA is headquartered in Albuquerque, New Mexico but has radiologists working throughout New Mexico. For over 50 years RAA has delivered excellent service to the patients it serves by partnering with Presbyterian Medical Group. We have excellent working relationships with our pathology, surgery, and medical and radiation oncology providers. RAA has two physician owned outpatient breast imaging centers in Albuquerque that are staffed by its dedicated team of breast imagers and staff.

RAA is looking to add a breast radiologist with MQSA certification to join our High-Resolution breast imaging team in Albuquerque. Fellowship training is preferred, but all qualified applicants including current residents and fellows are encouraged to apply.

RAA's breast imaging team is composed of 5 breast radiologists who work closely with a multidisciplinary treatment team, participate in a weekly breast tumor board and help their patients achieve the best possible outcomes. Our state-of-the-art ACR Designated Comprehensive Breast Imaging Center includes a robust breast MRI program, contrast enhanced mammography, automated breast ultrasound and all breast interventional procedures including Savi Scout and Hologic RFID localization.

The position is up to 100% breast imaging and provides a home reading PACS station for a mix of patient-facing clinic days and work-from-home days (all work can also be performed on-site if desired). The FTE can be flexible, ranging from 3-5 days/week, based on your desire.

RAA offers partnership track (18 months to partner) and full time and part time employed radiologist models. All models are tailored to each applicant's preferences and strengths. Breast radiologists are responsible for weekday coverage only. Breast imagers have no weekend, holiday or general radiology call responsibilities and no travel requirements.

RAA offers generous sign on bonus (up to 60k), generous compensation (400-750K per year), a retention bonus for qualified applicants, above average vacation time (11 weeks yearly for partners), and exceptional CME coverage. Great health insurance, a generous 401k plan, disability insurance, life insurance and malpractice coverage are provided by RAA. Optional in-house moonlighting opportunities are available to interested radiologists.
