Diesel Mechanic - Heavy-Duty Fleet Maintenance
Hourly Range: $26.53 - $33.16 per hour
New employees start at $26.53 per hour for the first 150 working days. Upon successful completion of the introductory period, employees advance to $33.16 per hour.
This is a hands-on diesel mechanic role supporting a large, active fleet of heavy-duty equipment. You will perform advanced diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance that keep operations running safely and reliably. This is demanding work that requires mechanical expertise, accountability, and pride in workmanship.

What You'll Do
โข Diagnose and repair heavy-duty diesel vehicles and equipment
โข Perform engine, brake, hydraulic, electrical, and CNG system repairs
โข Complete scheduled preventive maintenance and inspections
โข Document repairs and maintenance accurately
โข Work safely in a fast-paced maintenance environment
What We're Looking For
โข 2-3 years of heavy-duty diesel mechanic/CNG experience
โข Strong diagnostic and repair skills
โข Ability to lift, pull, and push objects weighing over 50 pounds
โข Safety-focused and dependable work ethic
โข Willingness to work evening or overnight shifts
Pay & Schedule
โข Hourly pay
โข Most positions support night operations with 10-12 hour shifts common
โข Day shift opportunities may be available depending on location
โข Overtime is a regular part of this role
Candidate Qualifications:
- 2-3 years of Heavy-Duty truck maintenance / repair experience.
- Knowledge of the CNG systems, brake systems (air & hydraulic), hydraulic ram systems, electrical systems along with general knowledge on any heavy equipment repairs.
- Ability to lift 50lbs
- Previous experience in the refuse industry with Diesel and A/C systems. Bilingual English / Spanish is a plus.
