Software Test EngineerOASYS, INC., a Leading Edge Government contractor in Huntsville Alabama, is seeking applicants for a Software Test Engineer to support our customer in Huntsville, Alabama.Position Summary and Responsibilities:The Modeling and Simulation Software Test Engineer will test military medical planning software developed by the MM&S team by both creating and executing test procedures.The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:Reviewing software requirementsPreparing/reviewing test casesPreparing/reviewing test proceduresConducting software test and data analysesEvaluating test resultsReporting software defectsGenerating test reportsProviding feedback to software development teamEducation Requirements:Requires a bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related technical field.Experience Requirements:Requires a minimum of 2-4 years of relevant work experience, with 5 or more years preferred.Skill Requirements:Demonstrated ability to design and execute automated functional, integration, and regression tests to validate simulation workflows, algorithms, model outputs, and system performance.Proficiency with one or more scripting or statistical computing languages such as Python, R, or PowerShell.Excellent troubleshooting and critical thinking skills with an ability to independently analyze configurations and system behaviors via output data and/or review of applicable software source code.Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced testing environment, while working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to describe issues to both the software development team and technical leadership.Ability to complete tasks on time and in compliance with AS9100 and CMMI Maturity Level 3 processes/procedures.Preferred Skills/ Experience:Experience with TestRail or similar test management softwareExperience with Microsoft Azure DevOps or similar project management systemExperience extracting data using Structured Query Language (SQL)Experience developing Test Plans, Test Procedures, and Test ReportsExperience with automated unit testing of web applications using xUnit, NUnit, Moq, or comparable testing frameworksFormal training and/or certification in software testingExperience working within the Department of DefenseExperience working within the Military Health SystemExperience using modeling and simulation softwareOther Requirements:Must be a U.S. CitizenMust be able to obtain a DoD Security ClearanceAbout OASYS, INC.: Located in Huntsville, Alabama, OASYS, INC. is a technology services and products company dedicated to delivering the right solutions to our government and commercial clients.
