You will advise supervisory personnel of maintenance requirements, repairs of equipment, and any maintenance activities to maximize plant production and uptime.You will accomplish assigned repair and maintenance functions throughout the plant in an orderly and timely manner and will be motivated to complete assigned work orders, and to approach Leads, Peers, and Supervisors for continuous improvement.Job DescriptionMust have ability to qualify as a Boiler & Refrigeration Maintenance I, capable of doing all operations, know limits of equipment and how to avoid deviations, capable of sound trouble shooting basic refrigeration, boiler, steam and air systems.Must be able to communicate, comprehend, and follow instructions in English (both written and oral).5 years related experience in manufacturing environment preferred.Must have the ability to communicate and work with all team members in a positive manner.Have the ability to troubleshoot and repair all equipment in and outside of the plant.Must attend confined space training (attendant, entrant and rescuer), HAZCOM (Hazard Communication) training, and can be qualified in these areas.Will be a Respirator User and is responsible to meet the qualifications requirements of the Lamb Weston Respiratory Protection Program for the use of Respiratory Protection Equipment (current medical, fit testing, and training).Will be an Emergency Response Team Member (Hazardous Materials Technician) and will be responsible to meet the qualification requirements per 29 CFR 1910.120 Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response (current medical and training).Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent. Ability to do basic refrigeration calculations in order to trouble shoot refrigeration systems.Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.Ability to speak effectively before groups of employees in the organization.Must be able to work any shift, overtime and any or all days of the week in accordance with plant needs.Must be able to qualify for operation of forklift and manlift under Lamb Weston's qualification program and operate equipment in a safe manner. Must be able to learn and demonstrate safe use and skilled application of tools, commonly used in this plant, in accordance with established practices and procedures.Must be able to learn and operate all equipment assigned to Boiler Refrigeration Maintenance.

By providing competency in safe operation of the equipment, know what the safe limits of the equipment are, and how to avoid deviations.Physical Environment/Demands:Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and to stand, walk, bend, stoop, twist and turn frequently.Exposed to a noisy environment that varies from hot to cold in temperature.Ability to do repetitious arm, wrist and hand movements required for job actions and procedures.Must be able to work with hands and arms overhead, and to work in or under the equipment.Requires manual dexterity, overall coordination and good balance to work both at ground level and in high places to perform job duties.Ability to operate work related equipment.Must be able to pass respiratory fit test and medical evaluation, and guidelines in the PSM respiratory program.Must be always clean shaven while working at the worksite in order to train, fit test, use a tight-fitting facepiece, and be response ready.Mustaches and sideburns are permitted, only if they do not extend into the sealing periphery or interfere with the valve functions of the respirator.Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.Employee must be able to perform the essential functions of the position satisfactorily.
