Job description

Pay Range: $70,000 - $80,000 a year

Limtronik USA is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to support our quoting, engineering, and manufacturing operations. This position will review customer prints, specifications, and related documentation and lead the quoting and manufacturing process from initial customer requirements through production.

The ideal candidate combines strong mechanical and electrical engineering knowledge with excellent problem-solving, communication, and project-management skills. This role serves as a key technical resource for both customers and the manufacturing team.

Key Responsibilities

·        Review customer prints, specifications, drawings, and related documentation to understand and clarify design, quality, engineering, and manufacturing requirements.

·        Interact directly with customers to identify needs, confirm requirements, and resolve technical questions.

·        Develop, prepare, and present customer quotes.

·        Specify electrical components and identify suitable alternative parts when necessary.

·        Develop single-line diagrams, layouts, assembly drawings, and other engineering documentation.

·        Maintain accurate Bills of Materials (BOMs) within the company’s ERP/MRP system.

·        Serve as the primary engineering contact for manufacturing-floor questions related to builds, electrical components, and technical requirements.

·        Work closely with production personnel to meet manufacturing schedules by providing timely engineering and technical support.

·        Determine appropriate test methods, procedures, components, and equipment required for new products and builds.

·        Lead the assembly process for new products, ensuring drawings, BOMs, and Work Instructions contain complete and accurate information.

·        Facilitate and implement continuous-improvement projects.

·        Create, maintain, and improve Work Instructions to promote consistent, repeatable, and high-quality manufacturing processes.

·        Read and interpret electrical drawings, mechanical drawings, part specifications, and related technical documentation.

·        Troubleshoot manufacturing and process issues, identify root causes, and implement effective corrective actions to reduce downtime and maintenance costs.

·        Collaborate with management and cross-functional teams to improve processes, systems, and companywide performance.

·        Manage multiple engineering projects, priorities, and deadlines effectively.

Qualifications & Skills

·        Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required. Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering preferred.

·        Previous experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.

·        Experience with low-voltage systems, control panels, and electrical components preferred.

·        Experience working with ERP/MRP systems.

·        Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.

·        Experience with CAD and engineering software such as DraftSight and SolidWorks.

·        Strong computer skills, including experience working with databases and PDF editing tools.

·        Ability to successfully manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

·        Demonstrated ability to multitask and adapt to frequently changing priorities.

·        Exceptional communication, analytical, creative, problem-solving, and leadership skills.

·        Strong ability to identify causation and root causes and determine appropriate corrective actions.

·        Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with employees at all levels of the organization, as well as customers and clients.

·        Ability to analyze and present data effectively in one-on-one and small-group settings.

·        Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings, parts lists, specifications, work instructions, and test procedures.

·        Strong technical writing skills, including the ability to prepare reports, customer correspondence, procedures, and Work Instructions.

What We’re Looking For

We are looking for an engineer who is comfortable working both at a desk and on the manufacturing floor. You should enjoy solving practical engineering problems, working directly with customers, supporting production teams, and turning technical requirements into accurate, manufacturable solutions.

Success in this role requires a combination of engineering knowledge, attention to detail, communication skills, initiative, and the ability to take ownership of projects from quote through production.
