Do you like to tinker and fix things?
Nott Company has an opening for a top-notch Parker Store counter sales representative to provide excellent service to our customers! Our customers will depend on you to help fix their machine or truck with the right hose, connectors, or adapters. You will come to the rescue when their machine is down, a quick fix is needed, or maintenance issues arise!
What will you be doing?
  • Provide excellent customer service to retail customers including part identification, cross-referencing, order entry, assisting will-call customers with paperwork, part pulling and packaging if necessary
  • Solve application problems and provide product advice to customers
  • Enter orders, invoice and process customer payments in system by purchase order, credit card; troubleshoot order issues
  • Champion online product catalogs and tools
  • Fabricate hose assemblies to fulfill customer requirements
  • Investigate/addresses customer complaints to resolution
  • Customer relationship management, prospecting, and following/championing sales strategies as communicated
  • Ensure late/gap reports are done on-time and complete
  • Owns store cleanliness, ensure the store is stocked and maintained so Parker and Nott products look their best for customers
  • Maintain the showroom appearance, support new display integration and related marketing programs
  • Assist Customer Service Department with fulfilling customer orders as needed
  • Perform other duties as required.

What you will need to be successful?
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • 2 year technical or fluid power degree highly desired, but not required
  • Minimum 2-5 years experience in a combination of business to business or business to consumer customer service for technical products such as fluid power or automotive, including order entry, understanding/reading technical specifications, product configuration, warehousing or inventory
  • Impeccable communication skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Strong mechanical aptitude including the ability to read and interpret customer drawings and identify part numbers
  • Detail oriented
  • Highly organized
  • Good computer skills: Microsoft Office, Teams, ERP
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds

Hours: Monday - Friday, 7:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.
Compensation: In addition to a base salary, this position is eligible for a monthly bonus based on the gross margin of the store sales.
