Job Overview:
The wrestling coach will be responsible for coaching, supervising, and managing the wrestling team during practices and games. The coach will help create a positive, inclusive, and educational environment that promotes skill development, teamwork, and good sportsmanship. Season starts end of November.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Help plan, organize, and conduct 3-5 practices per week.
  • Supervise and manage the team during 12-18 scheduled contests.
  • Provide direct supervision and guidance during all practices and games, ensuring the safety and well-being of all student-athletes.
  • Foster teamwork, discipline, and a strong work ethic within the team.
  • Create and implement practice plans focused on player skill development, game strategies, and fitness.
  • Communicate regularly with players, parents, and school administration about schedules, team progress, and any concerns.
  • Ensure compliance with all district policies and athletic guidelines.

Qualifications:
  • Previous coaching experience preferred, particularly with middle school-aged students.
  • Strong understanding of wrestling rules, techniques, and strategies.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and manage a team of young athletes.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to promote a positive sports environment.
  • CPR and First Aid certification

Work Schedule:
  • Practices: 3-5 per week (scheduled after school).
  • Meets: 12-18 scheduled meets over the season (including home and away meets).

Stipend:
