Job Summary**
Operate heavy equipment, specifically quarry loaders, to move and load materials within the quarry environment, ensuring efficient and safe material handling operations.
Job Responsibilities**
* Operate front-end loaders and other heavy equipment to load trucks, crushers, and stockpiles with various aggregates (e.g., sand, gravel, crushed stone).
* Perform pre-shift inspections of equipment, including checking fluid levels, tire pressure, and operating controls, and report any malfunctions or maintenance needs.
* Maintain a clean and organized work area around the loader and loading zones.
* Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and following traffic control plans.
* Communicate effectively with truck drivers, plant operators, and other quarry personnel to coordinate loading activities.
* Monitor material quality and report any inconsistencies or contamination.
* May perform basic maintenance tasks on equipment, such as greasing and cleaning.
