SUMMARY:
The Quarantine Supervisor is responsible for overseeing day-to-day warehouse operations across assigned shifts, teams in accordance with company standards. This role provides leadership direction and hands-on support to team members while maintaining productivity, quality and compliance across all processes.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Supervise daily quarantine operations to ensure product holds, inspections, releases, and dispositions are handled accurately and on time.
  • Ensure quarantined materials are properly identified, labeled, segregated, secured, and documented in accordance with company procedures and customer requirements.
  • Monitor quarantine inventory in the WMS or tracking system to maintain accurate records of product status, location, quantity, and disposition.
  • Coordinate with Operations, Quality, Inventory Control, Customer Service, and Transportation teams to resolve quarantine issues and minimize operational delays.
  • Lead, coach, train, and assign work to quarantine team members to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient execution of responsibilities.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, customer requirements, regulatory guidelines, sanitation expectations, and company policies.
  • Serve as the escalation point for quarantine-related issues, including unauthorized movement, delayed releases, inventory discrepancies, and customer concerns.
  • Track and report quarantine performance metrics such as hold aging, release timeliness, inventory accuracy, audit findings, and productivity.
  • Conduct routine inspections of quarantine areas to verify proper housekeeping, 5S, product segregation, labeling, and access control.
  • Support internal, customer, and regulatory audits by providing documentation, explanations, corrective action updates, and process evidence.
  • Communicate quarantine priorities, status updates, risks, and process changes to leadership and cross-functional partners.
  • Promote a culture of safety, accountability, quality, compliance, and continuous improvement within the quarantine operation.

Education & Experience:
Bachelor's degree preferred, or a related field preferred. Minimum 3 years of progressive warehouse or distribution operations experience. Prior experience supervising frontline operations staff in a high-volume or complex warehouse environment strongly preferred.

  • Ability to read, interpret, and apply business documents, technical procedures, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare reports, business correspondence, procedures, and present information to managers, customers, clients, and team members.
  • Effective interpersonal skills with the ability to manage multi-party communications, negotiate, resolve customer claims, and support cross-functional issue resolution.
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations and interpret operational data such as graphs and reports.
  • Strong reasoning and problem-solving skills with the ability to follow written and verbal instructions, analyze data, resolve standardized and complex issues, and maintain accuracy in paperwork and transactions.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to learn and effectively use job-related software systems, including WMS, move management, timekeeping, HRIS, RF scanners, and SAP.
  • Strong planning, organization, and time management skills with the ability to prioritize, re-prioritize, multitask, manage workflow, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing operational needs.
  • Certified or eligible to operate powered material handling equipment as required.
