Mission:

Quantum Research Intl. is seeking a motivated Senior Solutions Architectto work as a member of their team in our Huntsville, AL, National Cyber Security Operations Center. The Senior Solutions Architect is responsible for designing and implementing the overall system and platform architecture supporting the Army Critical Information and Exposure Reporting System (ACIERS). This role provides senior-level technical leadership in cloud computing, automation, interoperability, security, and high-availability architectures. The architect ensures alignment with DoW/Army security, accreditation, and performance requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead design of systems across on-prem, cloud, and hybrid environments at a variety of Information Levels.
  • Provide technical guidance to a team of network and system engineers and infrastructure technicians.
  • Ensure architectural alignment with DoW cloud and Army security frameworks.
  • Develop high-availability, redundancy, and disaster recovery solutions.
  • Serve as senior technical advisor and architecture authority.
  • Guide DevOps automation, reusable module development, and modernization initiatives.
  • Coordinate and lead discussions with customer stakeholders on subject matter areas, generate required contract reporting/courses of action, and produce briefing materials.
  • Support compliance efforts in pursuit of Authority to Operate (ATO) on government networks.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent. Additional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree with proven record of experience.
  • 4-7+ years experience in systems or network engineering, system design/enterprise integration, or cloud computing technologies
  • CompTIA Security+ CE or higher
  • 2+ years experience designing solutions and advising customers on architectures meeting industry standards such as NERC CIP, PCI DSS, ISO 27001, FISMA, and NIST/DoW frameworks.
  • Proven experience as part of a SaaS team to include working knowledge of cloud computing technologies and workload transition challenges from a cybersecurity perspective.
  • Experience with virtualization and configuration of IaaS, PaaS and SaaS environments and associated software development environments
  • Implementation experience with commercial security solutions such as web application firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, DLP, and background with DDOS mitigation.
  • Ability to coordinate with software development and deployment teams releasing production-ready software on a a routine basis.
  • Experience with relational and non-relational database technologies (e.g., Oracle, MongoDB).
  • Experience integrating cloud services such as AWS, Microsoft, Oracle with on-premise technologies and platforms.
  • 2+ years experience in DevOps practices and tools in areas such as continuous integration, environment and release automation, virtualization, infrastructure as code, metrics tracking, with understanding of agile development processes.
  • Skills in basic programming fundamentals, experience in Ruby, Python, Java, PHP, Git, Bash, or PowerShell.
  • 2+ years experience working with virtualization infrastructure.
  • Active Top Secret Clearance. Must be capable/eligible of obtaining a SCI designation. (Requires US Citizenship)

Desired/Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

  • Broad experience with a variety of enterprise computing infrastructure and public and private computing technologies.
  • Experience with modern application architecture, design, development, and deployment processes.
  • Significant experience integrating with enterprise system cloud services.
  • Strong understanding of the IT industry in general, cloud computing, public and private cloud, virtualization, networking, middleware, database, web service architecture and related technologies.
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate or Professional, Certified DevOps Engineer--Professional, Azure Solutions Architect Expert

Certifications:
