Job description

Lead QA Automation Test Engineer

Contract Type / Duration: 3 month with potential to extend or convert

Rocation: Remote – USA
Preferred Locations: Missouri, Texas, Florida, Minnesota, Illinois, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Arizona, Michigan, California, Pennsylvania, Kentucky, Ohio, Oklahoma, New York, Maryland
Work Hours: Full-time (40 hours/week)
 


Job Summary

The Lead QA Automation Test Engineer will lead the design, development, and execution of automated and manual testing solutions to ensure the delivery of high-quality software products. This role partners closely with development and agile scrum teams to define testing strategies, automate acceptance criteria, identify defects, and promote best practices across the organization.

Additional Required Experience
  • 5–7 years of hands-on software quality assurance experience

  • Strong experience designing and executing automated test frameworks

  • Experience with version control systems (e.g., SVN)

  • Solid understanding of web services and API testing

  • Proven ability to collaborate across engineering, product, and business teams

  • Strong communication skills and comfort aligning testing goals across teams


Preferred / Nice to Have
  • Healthcare or claims domain experience

  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments

  • ISTQB Certification

  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Professional Scrum Master (PSM)


Education
  • Bachelor’s degree required

  • Master’s degree in a technical or quantitative field preferred


Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the design, development, maintenance, and execution of automated test scripts

  • Translate acceptance criteria into automated and manual test cases

  • Execute functional, regression, and API testing

  • Review test automation code and promote best practices

  • Analyze test results, document defects, and verify resolutions

  • Integrate automated test suites with CI/CD pipelines

  • Develop and maintain quality standards, procedures, and metrics

  • Create clear testing and status reports for project stakeholders

  • Mentor and guide junior QA engineers

  • Participate in agile ceremonies and cross-functional reviews
