Job Title: Quantitative Analytics Specialist 4 / Cross-Margin Quantitative Model Developer
Location: Charlotte, NC (550 S Tryon St) - Hybrid (3 days onsite)
Contract Length: 12 months (potential to extend)
Pay Rate: $81 - $87
Top Requirements:
  • 5+ years of Quantitative Analytics experience with strong focus on counterparty credit risk modeling
  • Expert-level Python development and strong SQL skills for quant modeling and data analysis
  • Deep understanding of cross-margining concepts within prime brokerage or capital markets
  • Plusses:
  • Experience with PFE, EE,or similar exposure models
  • Experience in prime brokerage, derivatives clearing, or margin methodology design
  • Familiarity with financial products (equity swaps, commodities, convertibles, energy derivatives)
  • Experience with AI-assisted coding tools (Copilot or similar)
  • Strong experience mentoring junior analysts or developers
  • Job Summary:
    In this contingent resource assignment, you may: Consult on complex initiatives with broad impact and large-scale planning for Quantitative Analytics. Review and analyze complex multi-faceted, larger scale or longer-term Quantitative Analytics challenges that require in-depth evaluation of multiple factors including intangibles or unprecedented factors. Contribute to the resolution of complex and multi-faceted situations requiring solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements that meet deliverables. Strategically collaborate and consult with client personnel.
    Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
    Modeling & Quantitative Analysis
    • Develop, enhance, and maintain counterparty credit risk models focusing on cross-margin methodologies
    • Derive mathematical formulas and validate assumptions for model accuracy
    • Identify gaps in legacy implementations and modernize models using advanced stochastic techniques
    • Support modeling across complex financial instruments (equity swaps, commodities, convertibles, energy derivatives)
    Technical Development
    • Build and maintain Python-based quantitative libraries for model development
    • Develop prototype models and collaborate with technology teams for production deployment
    • Utilize SQL to query and manage large datasets supporting model validation and reporting
    • Leverage AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Copilot) to improve efficiency
    Cross-Functional Collaboration
    • Partner with model owners, technology teams, auditors, and business stakeholders
    • Translate business requirements into model specifications and documentation
    • Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior team members
    Operational Delivery
    • Respond to urgent model requests related to cross-margin exposure
    • Ensure timely delivery of model updates, validations, and documentation
    • Maintain high standards for accuracy and responsiveness in a fast-paced environment
