Our client is an investment adviser to a multi-strategy hedge fund that has operated across decades and many market cycles.

Currently, we are actively looking for a Senior Software Engineer/Developer to join their team. Only those candidates whose qualifications and experience align with the role will be contacted.

TITLE:Senior Software Engineer/Developer

LOCATION:Hybrid (combination of office in Greenwich, CT and remote work)

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Senior Software Engineer/Developer will be a member of a small quantitative trading team and will be heavily involved in the full cycle of the design, development, deployment and smooth running of a 24/7 trading system..

RESPONSIBILITIES

The Senior Software Engineer/Developer will be responsible for the design and development of software components of the trading system using Python, C# and T-SQL. This individual will Import, clean and maintain financial data, as well as administer a group of Windows/Linux servers and SQL databases. Additionally, the Senior Software Engineer/Developer will support and troubleshoot connectivity over FTP, SFTP, SSH and other proprietary protocols and APIs.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

MS or PhD degree in Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, or another related field

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE

  • Minimum of five years of job-related experience
  • Software development and integration in Python, C#(C,C++), T-SQL, Bash, PowerShell
  • Tuning of relational databases, SQL Server administration
  • System shell scripting and administration
  • Network development based on deep practical knowledge of common network protocols and security
  • Knowledge of basic multivariate statistics and linear algebra
