KPMG is currently seeking an Intern to join our Economic and Valuation Services practice.

Responsibilities:

  • Understand how transfer pricing and tax principles and regulations impact businesses and work with KPMG member firms around the world to help our clients achieve their transfer pricing business goals
  • Research and analyze value chains and value drivers in various industries to evaluate transfer pricing options
  • Research and analyze transfer pricing benchmarks
  • Help prepare various deliverables, including transfer pricing reports, client presentations, and client communications
  • Collaborate with team members within KPMG US and member firms globally to help our clients achieve their business goals
  • Perform financial analyses and develop financial models to help assess the impact of different intercompany transactions and transfer pricing policies using technologies such as Excel, artificial intelligence (AI), Alteryx, Power BI and KPMG proprietary tools
  • Stay abreast of the latest transfer pricing and tax developments around the world

Qualifications:

  • Must be enrolled in an accredited college or university and pursuing the following degrees/majors: Bachelors or Masters in Economics, Business, Finance, Mathematics, Statistics or other quantitative field with a focus in taxation
  • Upon completion of this internship, candidates must have additional academic credits to complete before obtaining their degree and/or CPA eligibility requirements
  • Preferred GPA of 3.0 or above
  • Coursework or minor in information systems, software engineering, computer science or data and analytics preferred
  • Strong in technical, business acumen, critical thinking and agility skills. Demonstrated ability to excel and drive strategic outcomes, coupled with a professional demeanor and a collaborative leadership approach, in a dynamic, evolving environment
  • Demonstrated quality service mindset, strong technical aptitude, ability to learn and navigate technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI), Alteryx and Power BI, MS Office Applications including Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook and apply emerging technologies to enhance tax processes and insights
  • Excellent communication, time management and leadership skills, feedback oriented, and resourceful in delivering high quality work
  • Must reside within a reasonably commutable distance to the office for this position and be able to travel to reasonably commutable work locations using own means of transportation, such as a personal vehicle or public transportation
  • Ability to travel and/or work on-site at client premises as needed, at times with relatively short notice
