Job description

Position Summary: The Supplier Quality Coordinator assists the Quality team by promptly resolving supplier issues and serves as a key point of communication between suppliers and internal quality functions. Responsibilities include maintaining supplier records, certifications, and various databases such as supplier contacts, specification libraries, and material qualification software.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Works with Supplier Quality Manager on supplier rejection resolution
  • Performs on-site audits of suppliers
  • Maintenance and record-keeping of current supplier profiles and certifications
  • Maintains internal libraries of industry specifications
  • Updates material qualification software for new revisions of industry specifications
  • Monthly tracking and reporting of goods on quality hold
  • Maintenance of relevant contact data
  • Production and distribution of performance reports
  • Completes Customer Surveys

Requirements:
  • Knowledge of ISO and AS Quality System Standards preferred
  • Possess strong knowledge of quality management system and quality control techniques
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office including charts and graphing
  • Willingness to learn proprietary computer program, known as Metalware
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
