Title: Systems Engineer
Location: Redmond, WA (onsite)
Duration: Long term contract

ABOUT THIS FEATURED OPPORTUNITY
We're looking for a hands-on Systems Engineer to work across complex systems, contribute to scalable infrastructure, and support integration challenges. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a lab environment, enjoys problem-solving in real time, and is excited about working on production systems that support active satellite missions. Additional experience with RF engineering is a bonus. You'll have the opportunity to make a direct impact by enhancing existing platforms and helping deliver solutions used by teams across the organization.
THE OPPORTUNITY FOR YOU
In this role, you'll focus on building and integrating software systems that simulate satellite behavior and emulate radio communication environments. Your work will bridge multiple components into a unified platform.
Day-to-day, you will:
  • Develop and enhance software that integrates satellite simulation, channel emulation, and radio modeling systems
  • Take ownership of implementing a new operational mode for an existing channel emulator
  • Build and maintain software that connects simulation environments with emulation infrastructure
  • Revive and modernize radio simulation software to ensure compatibility across the system
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver a platform that can be leveraged across the organization

KEY SUCCESS FACTORS
  • Strong Python development experience
  • Hands-on experience with AWS (EC2, Lambda, S3, AWS Batch) and CI/CD concepts
  • Ability to work across systems and integrate multiple software components into a cohesive platform
  • Experience with Docker or other containerization technologies

NICE TO HAVES
  • Exposure to RF systems, radio communications, or telecommunications concepts
  • Experience working with simulation or emulation environments
