Job description

The Welding Associate at Viva Railings is the artisan behind the assembly of our state-of-the-art railing products. Responsible for welding and fabricating our premium parts, you will use advanced machinery to shape and finesse the designs according to Viva Railings' signature standards. Your duties will include interpreting detailed blueprints, precision cutting of metal and crafting molten metal to remove any irregularities, ensuring the delivery of superior quality railings.
WHAT WE DO:
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
  • Interpret project blueprints and execute tasks with accuracy, keeping Viva Railings' standards in mind. Perform TIG, Stick and other types of welding in accordance with the specific requirements of each project.
  • Execute field installation welds, including sheeting and posts.
  • Demonstrate good judgement when selecting fillers for jobs, drawing on experience and project guidelines.
  • Collaborate with field labor crew to ensure installations are efficient and of the highest quality.
  • Showcase resource management skills to respect budgetary parameters and meet customer satisfaction.
  • Perform de-burring and grinding as required to achieve Viva Railings' high standard of surface texture.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Ability to safely use and lift equipment weighing 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work standing up to 10 hours per day.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • A minimum of 1 year of TIG welding experience is essential.
  • Current and valid welding certification is highly desirable.
  • Previous experience working on construction sites and familiarity with power tools is required.
  • Understanding of construction site safety procedures is crucial.
  • Willingness to travel to job sites located up to 300 miles away.
