Job description

Compensation commensurate on education and experience. 

Responsibilities: (pursuant to assignment)

  • Provides oversight of the Outpatient programs and assures the smooth functioning of the overall programs on a daily basis.
  • Alerts appropriate staff regarding plant, cleaning, technology and maintenance needs at each site.
  • Ensures medical staff, including medical assistants, have the support and resources they need to complete their evaluations and medication management appointments.
  • Provide oversight of therapists as they assist clients/members and their families'/support persons in developing treatment plans using a team approach and assuring that this plan is reviewed, revised as needed, and implemented.
  • Provides    oversight medical    records,   including    all related treatment   forms                         and correspondences for assigned caseload and departments.
  • Works closely with the Executive Director of Administration to ensure front desk and scheduling procedures to effectively support service delivery
  • Confers and consults with both internal and external stakeholders to assure continuity of treatment for the clients/members we serve.
  • Intervenes at times of crisis to help the client achieve and maintain stabilization.
  • Regularly    attends    treatment    team    meetings,    department    staff    meetings, and interagency/CASSP meetings as necessary.
  • Performs other clinical, administrative, and management responsibilities as directed by executive leadership.
  • Demonstrates initiative and continued self-development professionally and in new procedures/methods/programs.
  • Assures that all diagnostic, treatment, follow up, and discharge functions are carried out for all clients.
  • Develops effective working relationships and communicates with other service providers, school districts, and agencies so as to provide quality services.
  • Provides supervision of all staff and assuring that all clinical and paperwork duties are accomplished in a time efficient manner.
  • Adheres to all Friendship House, County, State, and Federal policies and regulations related to mental health services.
  • Participates in regular clinical supervision and continuing education activities to further develop professional skills in mental health treatment.
  • Participates in quality improvement/quality assurance activities.
  • Ensures staff/program achieves established productivity and incentive standards for the programs.
  • Comply with Agency policies and procedures, including those regarding conduct, confidentiality, and record keeping.
  • Perform duties in a professional manner in response to clients, co-workers, and situations in which own values are challenged.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Preferred skills and experience:

  • Minimum of a Master's Degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a closely related field from a recognized college/university.
  • License preferred
  • Previous leadership experience preferred
  • Experience with evidence based/supported trauma therapy models a plus.
