Job summary:

Quality Engineer is responsible for ensuring seamless implementation of engineering changes, supplier changes and process improvements in current production. Role focus on risk assessment, validation and compliance with internal quality standards and customer requirements while minimizing production disruptions.

Responsibilities:

Assuring Quality during launch of new programs and change management:

  • Lead quality aspects of engineering changes and supplier changes by following site and global standards
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams (Engineering, Manufacturing and Supply Chain) to assess and validate quality changes before implementation by monitoring quality metrics and performing validation testing.
  • Ensure all quality documentation (Control plans, FMEA, WI, etc.) is updated accordingly following both internal standards and external customer requirements including PPAP

Monitoring of Quality KPI's

  • Monitoring of quality KPI's of both internal and customer metrics by reporting to Quality manager and organization

Production and Supplier Quality Support

  • Lead advanced structured problem solving by using 8-Step and 8D methodology to drive down priority defects
  • Support quality spill containment activities and disposition of both non-conforming and unapproved material to our internal and customer requirements

Customer and Compliance Requirements

  • Ensure compliance with IATF 16949, AIAG Core Tools and interna Quality Management System
  • Respond to customer concerns related to quality following 8D methodology.
  • Support internal/external customer meetings and visits

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's degree in engineering, Quality, Supply Chain or equivalent experience.

Experience: Preferred 3-5 years experience in Quality Engineering or Change Management in manufacturing.

Technical knowledge:

  • Strong understanding of core tools (PPAP, APQP, MSA and SPC)
  • Strong understanding of Quality Systems
  • Proficiency with reading part drawings
