Job description

This is a hybrid role and you must be located in, or willing to relocate to, Dallas or San Francisco for the position. About the Role
In Finance Operations, we partner closely with leaders across the company to ensure smooth, disciplined execution of strategic business objectives. We support Uber globally across B2B Order to Cash, Sales, Treasury, Financial Risk Management, TMO, and F&A shared services.
This role reports to the Manager, OTC Global Process Owner (GPO) and serves as the Order Management and Billing Global Process Owner, a core member of the GPO Team within Uber's broader Order to Cash and Finance Operations organization.
The Order Management and Billing GPO is responsible for driving global B2B Order Management and Billing process optimization, policy development and governance, compliance adherence, technology enablement, procedure standardization, training, and trend analysis. This role will help define and scale best-in-class global processes that improve operational efficiency, strengthen controls, and support business growth.
What You'll Do
- Lead end-to-end process improvement and automation initiatives across Uber's global Order to Cash standard operating procedures.
- Identify and drive opportunities to improve scalability, controls, and operational efficiency across Order Management, Contract Accounting, Billing, and adjacent OTC processes.
- Build and maintain process, control, and enhancement roadmaps, and partner with cross-functional teams to implement prioritized solutions.
- Partner closely with stakeholders across Finance, Sales, Product, Engineering, IT, Operations, and Shared Services to define requirements, prioritize initiatives, and deliver measurable business impact.
- Standardize and enhance global business processes, policies, and controls across regions and lines of business.
- Independently lead complex projects from problem definition and current-state analysis through implementation, rollout, and change management.
- Translate business requirements into scalable process and systems solutions across billing, ERP, CRM, and finance operations workflows.
- Improve process auditability, exception handling, and compliance adherence in high-volume, global operating environments.
- Define, monitor, and improve operational KPIs such as billing accuracy, cycle time, exception rates, unapplied cash, and automation adoption.
- Serve as a key liaison across teams to ensure alignment, accountability, and successful execution of strategic process initiatives.
Basic Qualifications
- 4+ years of experience in Order to Cash, Billing, Order Management, Contract Accounting,, or related Finance Operations processes in complex, global, matrixed environments.
- Proven experience driving process improvement, business process re-engineering, or operational transformation initiatives.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to independently lead multiple complex initiatives from concept through execution.
- Experience working cross-functionally with business, operations, and technology stakeholders to deliver process and systems improvements.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess current-state processes, identify root causes, and recommend scalable solutions.
- Bachelor's Degree
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in Order to Cash, Billing, Order Management, Contract Accounting,, or related Finance Operations processes in complex, global, matrixed environments.
- Proven ability to improve end-to-end business processes with a strong track record in business process re-engineering and systems analysis.
- Strong understanding of internal controls, including Sarbanes-Oxley compliance.
- Experience partnering effectively with cross-functional teams across functions, geographies, and organizational levels.
- Experience supporting Lead / Quote-to-Cash or broader end-to-end OTC transformation initiatives.
- Proven experience collaborating with Product, Technology, IT, and Engineering teams to define and implement scalable operational solutions.
- Functional knowledge of billing operations, customer invoicing, receivables, cash applications, collections, credit management, and bad debt processes.
- Experience designing controlled, auditable processes with strong exception management and compliance rigor in high-volume environments.
- Experience defining and managing operational KPIs to measure process health, service quality, and automation impact.
- Experience leading global process rollouts, SOP adoption, stakeholder alignment, and change management across regional or shared-services teams.
- Formal Agile, Lean, and/or Six Sigma certification is a plus.
- Exposure to advanced technologies such as AI, machine learning, or intelligent automation is a plus.
- Experience with Ads billing processes and requirements, including exposure to agency billing and advertiser billing models.
- Understanding of billing design considerations for advertising products, including invoicing structures, billing hierarchies, payer setup, and reconciliation needs across agency and advertiser relationships.
- Familiarity with translating Ads business requirements into scalable billing processes, controls, and systems solutions across Order to Cash workflows.
For Dallas, TX-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$104,000 per year - USD$115,500 per year.
For San Francisco, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$115,000 per year - USD$128,000 per year.
For all US locations, you will be eligible to participate in Uber's bonus program, and may be offered an equity award & other types of comp.
